Robin Williams comedy / tragedy

Many years ago I saw Robin Williams being interviewed on TV, and thought he was trying too hard to give funny answers to every question. I later realised he was naturally funny. Now Robin has committed suicide, losing a long battle with depression. A terrible loss. I often mask my anxiety and depression with attempts at comedy – reasoning it is better that people are laughing rather than being angry. Wish I could explain more, and make more sense of this. The life and death of Robin Williams shows there is a thin line between comedy and tragedy.
